What is Spotify Wrapped?
In 2016, Spotify unveiled its Spotify Wrapped feature.
Every year since, Spotify listeners can see their top listening moments of the year.
The feature usually drops in late November or early December, right on time for the holidays.
Listeners can reminisce on their favorite musical moments of the year, and learn who their top artist or most listened-to genre was.
The listening recap also reveals your top song and how many minutes you spent listening to music that year.
Spotify Wrapped does come with a time limit, which typically ends in early January, but it generates a playlist that you can keep after that.
Millions of users take to social media to share their Spotify stats, all ensuring that the campaign goes viral every year.
Why is my Spotify Wrapped not working?
This year, Spotify Wrapped was released on November 29.
While most users took to social media to show off their Wrapped, some had trouble accessing the feature.
Initially, the Spotify Wrapped webpage would open to a server error message.
Tech Radar suspected that Spotify’s servers could be down due to the volume of people trying to access the webpage at once.
Spotify posted on their forum that the server issue has since been resolved.
How can I view my Spotify Wrapped?
This was the first year that Spotify offered the feature on desktop, along with its iOS and Android apps.
You can go to Spotify.com/Wrapped to view your recap on your desktop or laptop.
If prefer your mobile device, you can launch the Spotify app. Make sure you have the most recently updated version of the app.
Once open, the app should show you the Spotify Wrapped banner. The easiest way to access your Wrapped is by clicking on it.
If you don’t see the banner on the app, you can also type ‘Wrapped’ in the search bar and it should come up.
Spotify Wrapped is available for free and premium users, but premium users get more data.
